Working Hours:
14 hours per week.

Applicants must have existing right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- Carry out full visual inspections on live roadworks in line with the GMRAPS scheme inspections.
- Plan routes and schedules to maximise daily inspections.
- Provide day‑to‑day support and query resolution to the Permit Officers, Coordinator and Management.
- Manage coordination tasks such as early entry, traffic management with statutory undertakers, liaising with the Traffic and Events officer, and ensuring compliance with all necessary Highways systems and processes.
- Undertake additional inspections as required, e.g. Section 74, 3rd Party, FPNs and Permit conditions.
- Undertake additional duties reasonably commensurate with the level of the post.
We are looking for individuals with experience in highway works coordination, stakeholder and contractor engagement, and strong IT skills.
Essential:
- Full driving licence and own car for business purposes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to use initiative, prioritise workload and work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Desirable:
- Background in network coordination and knowledge of highway legislation.
- Experience with high‑traffic roadworks and permits.
