Community Safety Advisor Manchester Full Time Temporary An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Safety professional to join a Local Authority in Manchester. This role will focus on tackling Anti‑Social Behaviour (ASB), Hate Crime and Domestic Abuse & Violence (DAV), whilst working closely with residents, partner agencies and community groups to create safer neighbourhoods and improve outcomes for local communities.
THE ROLEThe Community Safety Advisor will deliver a proactive and responsive service to residents, managing community safety casework, supporting legal action where required and coordinating with partner agencies to resolve complex issues.
- Managing reports of Anti‑Social Behaviour, Hate Crime and Domestic Abuse & Violence from referral through to resolution.
- Investigating incidents, gathering evidence and preparing cases for legal action where appropriate.
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying safeguarding concerns, escalating where necessary.
- Maintaining accurate records, updating case management systems and producing reports.
- Working collaboratively with Police, Local Authorities, community groups, and other partner agencies.
- Supporting community safety projects, initiatives and preventative interventions in targeted areas.
- Promoting awareness of community safety services and encouraging resident engagement.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working within Community Safety, ASB, Housing Enforcement, Tenancy Enforcement or a similar public sector environment.
- Experience managing ASB, Community Safety or enforcement‑related casework.
- Knowledge of community safety legislation, crime prevention and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
- Experience working within multi‑agency partnerships and stakeholder environments.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
- Strong problem‑solving and investigative skills.
Working Hours:
Full Time - 35 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday

Working Arrangement:
Hybrid Working – 1 Day in the Office / 4 Days Working from Home
Rate:
The pay for the role is £23.41 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £19.96 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay.
