Highways Communications Officer

Highways Communications Officer Manchester £32.95 per hour - Hybrid (3 days in the office) Duties

• Develop and deliver communication plans for resurfacing programmes
• Coordinate with the Planned Maintenance team, working closely with:
  • Team Leader
  • Engineers
  • Clerk of Works
  • Permit Officer
  • Contractors
  • Asset Team
• Gather accurate, up-to-date information on:
  • Programmes
  • Phasing and sequencing of works
  • Material/product selection and the scenarios of when they are chosen
  • Risks and delays
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Coordinate communication with key stakeholders:
    • Local councillors and MPs
    • TfGM Bus Team
    • Emergency services
    • Businesses and schools
    • Public transport operators
  • Provide advance briefings so stakeholders can prepare and respond to enquiries.
  • Attend meetings or briefings with the highways delivery team.
