Bedfordshire Police is seeking Special Constables to serve as volunteer police officers within the community. This role requires a commitment to a 15-week training course, alongside regular officers, to ensure safety and support for the people of Bedfordshire. Responsibilities include patrolling, responding to crimes, and being a reassuring presence. Training starts with initial coursework and practical sessions, allowing volunteers to gain essential policing skills.
This is an open call for applicants of at least 18 years old, who can engage for a minimum of 16 hours per month to help in keeping the community safe.
