Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of experience in Speech and Language Therapy. Degree in Speech Pathology. Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or eligibility. Working With Children Check (WWCC)/Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check. Driver’s licence and reliable car. Professional indemnity and public liability insurance. Benefits:

To practice in Australia, SLTs must be registered with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). UK SLTs benefit from a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA), simplifying the process if already registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT). Registration Timeline:
Typically takes 1–6 months, with most processed in around 6 weeks. Visa Information – Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417):
Duration: 1 year, extendable up to 3 years. Fast processing: 7–30 days. Eligibility includes being aged 18–35 years, holding a valid UK passport, applying from outside Australia, having no dependent children during stay, and proof of funds (~AUD $5,000). As of 1 July 2024, UK citizens can apply for a second and third Working Holiday visa without needing to complete regional work.
