Ward Clerk - North West Ventilation Unit (NWVU)

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is looking for a highly organised and reliable Ward Clerk to support the North West Ventilation Unit.

Closing date is 16 February 2026.

• Maintain clear communication with patients and families, providing updates and acting as key liaison.
• Coordinate patient admissions to the ward and update the HIVE system.
• Handle phone calls professionally and efficiently.
• Work within established policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines to ensure smooth operations.
• Contribute to improving best practices and ensuring high‑quality standards are consistently maintained.

• Good standard of general education or equivalent experience.
• Experience of good customer service skills.
• Experience in an administration role and working in a busy environment.

• IT skills and experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to maintain a calm, courteous and efficient manner at all times.
• Use of Microsoft applications.
• Knowledge of HIVE.
