Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Ward Clerk to join our team on Ward T4 in the newly built Greater Manchester Major Trauma Centre in Salford.
Responsibilities- Provide a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward/unit staff and respond to telephone enquiries from hospital staff, patients, GP practices and relatives efficiently and conscientiously.
- Maintain safe keeping and availability of all clinical records relating to patients and ensure the smooth running of the ward/department office.
- Directly liaise with Consultants for direct admissions from GP’s and book patients into clinic as instructed by clinical staff.
- Maintain patient flow on EPR for patient transfers and discharges in a timely manner.
- Support a wide range of administrative and clerical duties to the ward/unit staff.
- Experience of dealing with the public/customer relations.
- Keyboard skills – RSAII Typing / Word Processing or equivalent and NVQ qualifications are desirable.
