Occupational Therapist - Band 5 to Band 6 Progression Post
North West Community Mental Health Team are excited to be recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join their successful, friendly, and supportive team. This job is being advertised with the option of this being a B5 to 6 progression post or a B6 post. You will be working in a multidisciplinary team which includes another B6 and B7 Occupational Therapist.
The MDT prioritizes occupational therapy as a core intervention to support service user's recovery. Occupational therapy pathways are at the heart of the Salford community transformation model.

We are focused on staff wellbeing, offering regular clinical and line management supervision, and building links with other community teams to share learning and provide support.
Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will undertake a full-time Occupational Therapist role within the team, focusing solely on delivering an evidence-based Occupational therapy service provision. You will be supported to maintain an occupational focus in your work, undertaking Occupational Therapy assessments and specific work associated within the role of an Occupational Therapist . You will work with a defined caseload of service users with severe and enduring mental health needs.
In addition to this you will take a lead on delivering recovery focused groups in the community and support with line management of junior OT members of staff.

- Pay Enhancements 30% additional for Evenings (8pm onwards) and Saturdays and 60% additional for Sundays and Bank holidays.

- Previous experience working as a qualified Occupational Therapist
- Experience of working in a mental health field
- Experience of working in a community mental health setting
- Understanding of using MOHO
- Knowledge of working with psychosis
