Secondary Care - Patient Health Care Advisor / PH.
Location:
Manchester, M3 5NA
. Full-time role, 37.5 hours per week. Shift patterns between 8am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend work on a rota basis. Two-week training and induction will be provided. Availability to work 9am – 5.30pm during the induction period is required.

Main duties of the jobBe the first point of contact for patients, handling inbound and outbound calls with high-quality, professional, and efficient customer service. Work with autonomy and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact. Register patients accurately and assist with appointment enquiries, referring GPs as needed, and confirming appointment dates and times by phone; send appointment letters promptly.
Remind patients of appointment times, track cancellations, and offer vacant slots from the waiting list to ensure delivery of the best care and full NHS services.
Role Requirements- Dealing with high levels of inbound and outbound calls in a professional, friendly and courteous manner
- Provide excellent quality of patient care at all times
- Accurately type clinic letters using a transcription/clinical system and send to GPs and relevant departments
- Deal with high levels of patient referrals
- Able to work to targets
- Experience of administrative work
- Clear thinking and an analytical approach
- Team player with the ability to promote a good team spirit
- Sensitive and assertive as appropriate
- Experience in a customer service position
- Motivated and able to work independently
