We are looking for an experienced project manager with a strong track record of delivering projects within a complex environment. This role will primarily be responsible for leading on the planning, setup and execution of the Culture of Care project and other related QI projects as required. This is a project funded by NHS England and delivered by the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health (NCCMH).

The key priorities for this QI project are anti-racism, autism-informed and trauma-informed care.

The Quality Improvement Project Manager will provide comprehensive project management support to the QI Lead for the Culture of Care project and other related QI projects as required. This will include the management and analysis of data and assisting in organising new QI initiatives. The postholder will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring systems to manage the Culture of Care project and related QI projects where required.

They will identify risks and ensure that appropriate mitigation is applied to ensure that quality standards are met, and project outputs are delivered on time.

They should demonstrate exceptional project management skills, be an effective senior administrator and have advanced communication and interpersonal skills. It would be preferable if the postholder has experience and skills in QI methodology and the application of tools and methods associated with continuous improvement.

Main duties of the job

To support and progress the Culture of Care project and other QI projects when required, alongside the QI Leads across different wards, teams and services across the Trust using QI methodology and frameworks.

To lead on management of systems for monitoring progress of QI projects against timelines and milestones.

To organise, plan, record and monitor QI training activity in relation to Culture of Care and related QI projects.

To support with knowledge of data collection methods to enable escalation of data quality issues and the effect on projects and contribute to solutions.

To develop and update project documentation (for example, driver diagrams and PDSA cycles) as directed by the QI Leads.

To lead on and contribute to specific projects as required by and under direction of the QI Leads to tight deadlines, including but not limited to issue resolution, progress reporting and on-schedule achievement of project deliverables.

To provide support with scoping out, setting and monitoring of clearly defined project measurement plans for current QI projects with an aim to drive continuous improvement.

To take a proactive approach to personal development within the field of Quality Improvement to use the skills/knowledge acquired to support the development of Quality Improvement within the Trust.
