Clinical Educator Junior Sister​/Charge Nurse Responsibilities

Overview

We are pleased to announce a vacancy for a Clinical Educator to join the Childrens Outpatients team at Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Registered Paediatric Nurse to join our nursing team on a part‑time basis, playing a key role in supporting education, learning, and professional development within a busy outpatient service.

• Lead Team Outpatients in a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse clinical shift at least once a week.
• Support staff with mandatory training, ensuring clinical skills for patient safety.
• Provide high‑quality educational support to registered and non‑registered workforce, including new starters.
• Assist with staff continuous professional development and oversee staff appraisals and revalidations.
• Work closely with the ward manager to assist in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a portfolio demonstrating achievements in clinical practice and/or education.

• Registered Paediatric Nurse.
• Substantial post‑registration experience.
• Evidence of teaching or educational involvement.
