Sexual Health Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity to develop a Sexual Health Advisor position within The Urmston Clinic. This role is currently done by the specialist sexual health nurses, but we are looking to recruit a full time Sexual Health Advisor to lead and develop this. The Health Advisor role is a unique chance to expand your scope of practice within a supportive, multidisciplinary team in The Northern Sexual Health Service.

If needed the post can be offered as a Band 5 training to Band 6. You will play a key role in delivering holistic, person-centered care including:

• Working autonomously following local and national guidance
• Partner notification and risk reduction interventions
• Treating STIs and having good knowledge of window periods
• Supporting patients newly diagnosed with HIV
• Results management and administrative Health Advisor duties
• Health promotion and education
• Working closely with the multidisciplinary team
