Role Overview
The post holder will provide clerical support within specified areas of the Radiology department which includes CT, MRI, X-ray, Ultrasound and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) services on a rotational basis. To ensure that patients are accurately registered on the radiology computer system and that all required information is available for their attendance.
ResponsibilitiesTo undertake computerised booking and scheduling of appointments; determining that resource requirements are available for the appointment type; that patient preparation criteria are checked, and patient instructions are distributed to patients along with the appointment letter.
To provide importing and exporting of radiology imaging using the PACS and other associated systems.
To undertake a variety of clerical duties required in a demanding and challenging department.
QualificationsTo work within a team based in the Department of Radiology, rotating through MR, CT, X-ray, Ultrasound and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) departments.
The successful candidate should have knowledge of IT with good organisational and communication skills, be enthusiastic and committed to helping deliver a high-quality service. The candidate should be hard-working and capable of working on their own initiative as well as enjoy working as part of the team to maintain a high standard of service.

We are also an international leader in research, with world first breakthroughs for over 100 years.
We run one of the largest early clinical trial units in Europe with over 300 trials every year. Cancer research in Manchester, most of which is undertaken on the Christie site, has been officially ranked the best in the UK.
