Hospital and Department OverviewRMCH Theatres are the leading provider of paediatric tertiary and specialist healthcare services in Manchester and treat more than a million patients every year. Our Theatre Department consists of nine operating theatres, a Minor Procedures Unit and ten post anaesthetic recovery bays. Within our theatres, we provide highly specialised elective care including Renal Transplantation, Spinal, Neurosurgical, Burns & Plastics, Neonatal, Thoracic, Complex ENT, Trauma & Orthopaedics.
RoleResponsibilities
- Work as an ODP/Registered Nurse within Paediatric Theatres, providing the highest standards of care and making a difference to the lives of children across Manchester and beyond.
- Deliver direct clinical support and care for patients within your specialist area.
- Complete the required trust & theatre competencies during a 12‑month preceptorship for newly qualified practitioners.
- Participate in a 3‑month supernumerary period working alongside a mentor to learn your role and build confidence.
- Complete all relevant MFT trust mandatory training.
- Early shift – 08:00 – 18:00
- Late shift – 12:00 – 21:30
- Night shift – 21:00 – 08:30
- Weekend shifts are also included within the roster.
