Job Overview
Are you a Dietitian looking for a new challenge? Or are you a Dietitian already working in mental health looking for a new opportunity to develop and expand your skills? We are looking for a motivated Band 6 Dietician to join our team.
You will have the opportunity to work across a range of different CAMHs mental health units within Greater Manchester. You will manage a complex caseload within CAMHs inpatient services, which includes General Adolescent and Medium Secure services. You will be looking at all aspects of Dietetic care; including weight management, diabetes, nutrition support, enteral feeding, eating disorders and much more. You will be working closely with the multidisciplinary team.,
To ensure that the highest professional standards and attitudes are maintained at all times so that care is delivered in accordance with evidence-based practice/research.
The post holder will be professionally accountable for their own complex caseload. The post holder will work flexibly across a range of services providing input into mental health services using evidence based and person-centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment.
To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of professional and clinical work, working to agreed local, national and professional standards.
In addition to this the post holder will provide specialist advice to the Trust and support the organisation to deliver its food and nutrition policies through the provision of specialist advice, resources, training and education.
Where appropriate the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that Dietetic Assistant Practitioners receive supervision and support appropriate to their role and ensure that Appraisals are in place.

The Trust mandates all post holders who require a DBS for their role to subscribe to the DBS Update Service. You will be required to enrol for this service for a fee of £16 per year and maintain registration throughout your employment with GMMH.
