Main duties of the job
  • Move patients by bed, trolley and wheelchair as directed by department staff in accordance with agreed procedures.
  • Move case request forms, specimens, medicines, equipment, furniture and other items between wards and departments in line with agreed procedures.
  • Respond to non-scheduled task instructions from the Helpdesk via the handheld device, ensuring response and completion times are recorded and report any issues or delays to maintain a full audit trail.
