Overview
The Radiology Department at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit a self‑motivated, approachable individual to work within our busy, friendly team. The role involves providing reception and other clerical support within a team based in the Department of Radiology, rotating through MR, CT, X‑ray, Ultrasound and PACS departments.
The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year, with a radiology department that sees over 50,000 patients each year. We provide general radiology, CT, MRI, ultrasound, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine including PET‑CT, and more.
Responsibilities- Provide reception and clerical support across MR, CT, X‑ray, Ultrasound and PACS departments on a rotational basis.
- Ensure patients are accurately registered on the radiology computer system and that all required information is available for their attendance.
- Carry out computerised booking and scheduling of appointments, confirming resource availability, checking patient preparation criteria, and distributing patient instructions and appointment letters.
- Import and export radiology imaging using the PACS and other associated systems.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties required in a demanding and challenging department.
- Knowledge of IT and familiarity with radiology computer systems.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Enthusiastic, committed to delivering a high‑quality service, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
