Children's Support Worker - School Holidays Only

Children's Support Worker / Community Care Assistant – Sale, Trafford – £14.00 per hour

Make every school holiday unforgettable for a young person who loves getting out, having fun, and trying new experiences.

We're looking for caring, energetic and experienced Children's Support Workers or Community Care Assistants to join our team and support an amazing young man throughout the school holidays on a part‑time basis (20 hours per week). This is a rewarding opportunity to help him enjoy activities at home and out in the community, while working as part of a dedicated support team.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting a young man at home and in the community during school holidays.
  • Enjoying day trips, activities, and outings together.
  • Providing safe, person‑centred support as part of a two‑person care team.
  • Assisting with mobility and wheelchair handling.
  • Supporting with personal care.
  • Encouraging independence while making every day enjoyable and engaging.
Shift Pattern
  • Location:

    Sale, Trafford.
  • Hours:

    20 hours per week.
  • Work available throughout every school holiday period.
About You

You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys supporting children and young people and isn’t afraid to get involved in activities, adventures and lots of fun. You'll also have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs including autism.
  • Experience supporting non‑verbal children or young people with physical disabilities.
  • A positive, energetic and patient approach.
  • Confidence supporting someone both at home and out in the community.
  • The ability to assist with wheelchair handling and mobility support.
  • A reliable, compassionate and team‑focused attitude.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred (Business Insurance will be required).
