Location: Greater Manchester (community-based across multiple locations)
Salary:up to £14.00 per hour (depending on experience)

An established provider of supported housing services is looking to recruit compassionate and motivated Support Workers to join its growing team. The organisation delivers high-quality, person-centred support to vulnerable adults aged 18+, helping individuals develop the skills and confidence to live independently within the community.

As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to adults with a range of support needs, promoting independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes. This is a varied community-based role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

• Deliver person-centred support tailored to individual needs.
• Build positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect.
• Support individuals to maintain their tenancy and live independently.
• Assist with budgeting, shopping, meal preparation, and household tasks where appropriate.
• Encourage access to education, employment, volunteering, and training opportunities.
• Support individuals to attend appointments with healthcare professionals and partner agencies.
• Promote positive mental health, wellbeing, and healthy lifestyles.
• Help individuals develop life skills, confidence, and independence.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records and support notes.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns in line with policies and procedures.
• Follow support plans and risk assessments.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals.
• Attend team meetings, supervision, and mandatory training.

The successful candidate will be:

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Well organised with good written record-keeping skills.
• Professional and able to maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Committed to helping people achieve greater independence.

• Experience working within health and social care or supporting vulnerable adults is desirable but not essential.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic IT skills.
• Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends where required.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
