The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role.

The Movement Unit are looking for x2 HCPC & CSP registered students on the MSc Advanced Physiotherapy courses to join our team as an MSK Casual Physiotherapist. You will be mentored by Dr Chris McCarthy FCSP, FMACP (Co-Clinical Lead of the unit).

Successful applicants will be based in the Brooks Building at Birley Fields Campus, working at the Manchester Movement Unit.

Dates: w/c: 5 October 2026 - w/c 14 December 2026

Times: 3 hours per week (Wednesday afternoon / evening)

Training will be given on software used for clinical notes and an induction with the clinical lead will be carried out prior to work commencing.

Please note, DBS proof, qualification certificates and HCPC registration must be provided at interview.

This role is only open to current Manchester Met Students who meet the following requirements -

• Must have BSc Physiotherapy
• Must be on the Masters programme (MSc Advanced Physiotherapy)
• Must have 1 year experience post qualification, minimum
• Clear, concise verbal communication in English
• Ability to write concise and clear, reports and notes in English
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team
• Ability to organise and prioritise work
• Ability to work well with others and pass on skills and knowledge
• Committed to personal and team development
• Professional attitude
• Ability to motivate
• Enthusiastic in the role
• Able to accept responsibilities and use initiative
• HCPC registered. This must be in place to be shortlisted. Please include your registration number on your application.
