The Citywide Learning Disability Service is offering a 9-12 month Band 7 Registered Manager secondment with for candidates with a professional registration and /or experience of Learning Disabilities' in a CQC residential care setting at 144, our specialist nurse-led respite service for adults with learning disabilities and complex behaviours.
144 is a three-bedded respite unit providing planned short breaks for 14 adults across Manchester, supporting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes for individuals and their families.
As Registered Manager, you will lead a team of nurses and support workers, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care. You will support individuals to achieve the best possible quality of life through tailored care that reflects their strengths, aspirations, preferences and communication needs.
Working closely with the Community Matron and General Manager, you will oversee the day to day management and work in partnership with individuals, families, to coordinate care for people with complex and changing needs.
This development opportunity is ideal for a Band 6 or Band 7 nurse seeking experience in service management, workforce leadership, quality improvement and the operational management of a CQC-regulated service.
Main duties of the jobThis is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference while developing your leadership and management skills within a supportive and experienced Learning Disability Service.
To operationally manage the service providing short breaks and some outreach support to learning disabled people who present complex and challenging behaviour and Autism. The post holder will manage and supervise staff and ensure agreed assessments and programs of care are implemented following a positive behavior support model (PBS).
