Job overviewThe North Manchester mental health direcorate has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to apply for this role, to improve the service delivery within the Inpatient Mental Health Unit.
The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the clinical and operational team to ensure high quality, recovery focussed care is delivered to our service users.
The post holder will hold a caseload and will lead assessment, formulation and prescribing of care / treatment planning, including discharge planning within agreed protocols and procedures and be an integral part of the Multi Disciplinary Team supporting clinical decision making and supporting the service pathways.
The post holder will also support with providing a seamless pathway within the inpatient services.
The Advanced Clinical Practitioner will hold a case load and will lead assessment, formulation and prescribing of care planning including discharge planning within agreed protocols and procedures.
The job holder may additionally lead on practice and service developments. The job holder is required to demonstrate clinical and practice expertise via interventions, supervision and modelling good practice.

Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide advanced and expert level of practice (including non-medical prescribing) within the adult inpatient unit leading to improved patient outcomes.
The post holder will support the clinical and operational team to deliver on service improvements in the quality of care and safety through service development, evaluation, and audit.
They will be an integral part of the Multi Disciplinary Team supporting clinical decision making and supporting the service pathways, facilitating nurse led clinics and providing brief interventions.
