Business Development Manager​/Registered Manager

About New Leaf:

New Leaf Haven Homes is a small specialist residential service based in a beautiful four bedroom home in Hale. We support adults with complex learning disabilities, autism and associated complex needs, including people who may require enhanced 1:1 or 2:1 support.

Our small scale allows us to provide genuinely bespoke, person-centred care. We want to grow carefully, one suitable placement at a time, with a strong focus on quality, safety and sustainable outcomes.

You will work directly with our Nominated Individual, medically qualified Directors and external advisers, with considerable influence over the quality, culture and development of the service.

The opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead the day to day operation and development of our specialist residential service.

Your primary responsibility will be ensuring the home provides safe, high quality and person centred care, supported by strong CQC governance, effective operational leadership and a skilled staff team.

You will play a key role in assessing complex referrals, developing appropriate staffing and support models and mobilising new placements, ensuring each placement is safe, compatible and sustainable.

Service development is also an important part of the role. We are looking for someone who understands the commissioning landscape and has established relationships with commissioners, social workers, local authorities and other referral partners. You will help develop New Leaf's quality, capability and reputation while supporting appropriate and sustainable growth.

What you will do:

• Lead the day to day management of the home and staff team.
• Apply to become New Leaf's CQC Registered Manager and maintain strong regulatory compliance and governance.
• Oversee safeguarding, care planning, risk management, medicines, incidents and quality assurance.
• Recruit, supervise and develop a skilled and consistent staff team.
• Assess complex referrals, including individual needs, risks, compatibility and required staffing models.
• Plan and mobilise new placements, ensuring appropriate staffing, training, care planning and resources are in place.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, social workers, local authorities and referral partners.
• Work closely with the Directors and Nominated Individual to develop the quality, capability and reputation of the service and grow occupancy safely.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager and willingness to register for New Leaf.
• Relevant NVQ Level 5 leadership and management qualification or recognised equivalent.
• At least five years' senior experience within adult social care, ideally within learning disability, autism or complex needs services.
• Strong knowledge of CQC requirements, safeguarding, governance, risk management and person centred care.
• Experience leading and developing high quality care teams.
• Experience assessing complex referrals and developing appropriate support and staffing models.
• Experience of the commissioning, referral, assessment and funding process for specialist placements.
• Established professional relationships with commissioners, social workers, local authorities or other referral partners.
• Experience of opening, mobilising or developing a specialist learning disability or autism residential service is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting people requiring enhanced 1:1 or 2:1 staffing would be an advantage.
• Right to work in the UK without requiring sponsorship from New Leaf.
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate to Hale, Altrincham.
