Involvement Lead

At Waterloo Manor we are currently recruiting for a Involvement Lead to come and join our team! The post holder will be expected to work both individually and as part of the multi-disciplinary team whilst working collaboratively with the patients to ensure that their involvement within the hospital is fully recognised and in line with government and secure services legislation.

1. To coordinate and take an active role in developing service user involvement in line with the current secure service commissioning groups quarterly and annual targets.
2. Continue to embed the development of service user defined activity plans ensuring that these are connected to the shared pathway and in relation to recovery and service user outcomes 3. To aid in the development of a strong involvement infrastructure which will assist in implementing and achieving national and local standards
4. Build and develop strong recovery planning processes continuing to use and encourage joint working and a shared understanding of recovery 5. To work collaboratively with key stakeholders and the Yorkshire and Humber Involvement Network.
6. Represent the service at external forums relating to involvement and engagement. 7. To support the embedding and implementation of a robust family and carer involvement process with measurable outcomes.
8. Ensure the service user/family/carer voice is an integral part of service improvement initiatives Other Responsibilities (in addition to applicable legislation and professional guidance) 1. Identify service developments/improvements in collaboration with service users to inform a fully structured plan of action. Demonstrate the implementation of the plan and evidence/report in clinical governance which is to be attended very month.
2. Involve service users and staff to promote joint working ensuring service users are involved in every aspect of their care.
3. Work collaboratively with service users and staff to organise workshops/groups to share and explore learning and experiences to identify key areas for development.
4. Attend regular weekly community meetings and share outputs with the wider MDT. 5. Attend the morning meeting to ensure awareness of risks and clinical acuity. 6. To promote effective service user involvement across a range of projects to ensure there are a number of opportunities for involvement at a variety of levels to suit clinical need. 7. To effectively communicate with patients, carers and colleagues.

This may involve using skills to support patients who have difficulties in communication, due to their mental health. 8. To promote understanding of the aims of Involvement to patients, colleagues, relatives and carers. 13. Attend external supervision with members of the involvement network for additional support and learning. 14. Encourage service user attendance at the monthly clinical governance meeting.
