This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and proactive Talent Manager to make a meaningful impact within an organisation that is transforming Britainenergy landscape. Operating at the heart of the People Team, the role shapes and delivers the DCCs talent strategy, builds inclusive and high performing talent practices, and partners closely with senior leadership to drive capability, succession, and development across the organisation.

You will play a pivotal role in embedding values and behaviours into all talent processes while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

How you will contribute to transforming energy and shaping the future
  • Design and deliver the talent review process, supporting succession planning across ExCo successors, direct reports, and critical roles.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to create and manage functional talent plans.
  • Lead the performance management cycle, ensuring consistency, calibration, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Identify and evaluate capability gaps, working with L&D and Talent Acquisition to address learning needs and critical skills shortages.
  • Drive and influence talent initiatives, including early careers strategy and D&I priorities, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders.

  • Proven experience in talent management, including designing and delivering talent programmes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.
  • Data‑driven approach, using insight to shape strategy and decision making.
  • Solutions‑focused mindset, comfortable challenging existing processes to drive improvement.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling partnership across People Teams, ExCo, and the wider organisation.
