About Emperor

Emperor is a leading, full service corporate communications agency. Proudly independent and with a long heritage of nearly 30 years we are well known in the world of reporting but now in London over 50% of our work is in other areas. These include brand, employee engagement, campaigns, digital (including websites) and moving image and content production. We have a wide range of mainly B2B clients ranging from large FTSE 100 clients to smaller clients such as regional law firms.

What makes Emperor a great place to work springs from the fact that we are employee-owned. This means employees have a strong voice in how we are run. We have retained our commitment to hybrid working and flexible working hours. Our culture is fair and based on trust, with a good work and home balance.

The Role

At Emperor, we're building the next generation of talent, leaders, and specialists who will drive our future success.

We're looking for a Learning & Inclusion Partner to lead our approach to learning, capability, engagement and inclusion, helping us create a high-performing, values-led organisation where everyone has the opportunity to grow.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how learning happens across Emperor, from developing emerging talent and future leaders, to building specialist expertise and strengthening leadership capability. You'll play a key role in translating our People Strategy into meaningful experiences that improve performance, progression, engagement and retention.

What you'll be responsible for

Learning & Capability

  • Design and deliver Emperor's learning and development strategy, aligned to business priorities and future skills requirements.

  • Lead organisation-wide skills mapping and capability planning.

  • Develop clear development frameworks for Rising Stars and Future Leaders.

  • Design and deliver manager and leadership development programmes that strengthen commerciality, leadership capability and performance.

  • Create scalable learning journeys that support career progression and internal mobility.

  • Own and optimise our learning technology, ensuring development is accessible, engaging and measurable.

  • Measure learning impact and demonstrate ROI through improvements in capability, engagement, progression and retention.

Engagement & Partner Experience

  • Lead our employee engagement approach, including Culture Amp surveys, insights and action planning.

  • Design impactful programmes that strengthen connection, recognition and belonging.

  • Help create a consistent employee experience across onboarding, development and career growth.

Inclusion

  • Partner with the Director of Human Resources to deliver our inclusion strategy.

  • Develop inclusive leadership capability across the business.

  • Support Employee Resource Groups and initiatives that foster belonging and representation.

  • Ensure inclusion is embedded into learning, talent and employee experience programmes.

Internal Communications

  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver engaging internal communications that connect people to our strategy, culture and priorities.

  • Own and evolve internal communication channels and content.

AI & Innovation

  • Use AI and automation to personalise learning, improve engagement, generate content and enhance insight.

  • Explore new ways to leverage technology to improve capability, performance and employee experience.

  • Help build future-ready skills and AI capability across Emperor.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

You'll likely have experience in learning and development, talent development, organisational capability or employee experience, and enjoy building programmes that create measurable impact.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience designing and delivering learning and capability strategies.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.

  • Experience developing managers, leaders and high-potential talent.

  • A passion for identifying and developing rising stars and future leaders.

  • Experience with succession planning, talent management or career development frameworks.

  • Strong facilitation, communication and programme management skills.

  • Experience using data and insight to improve outcomes.

  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to embrace new technology.

  • A genuine commitment to inclusion, employee experience and culture

As an employer, we are committed to ensuring the representation of people from all backgrounds regardless of their gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, race, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, or any other aspect which makes them unique. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds to apply and would encourage you to let us know if there are steps we can take to ensure that your recruitment process enables you to present yourself in a way that makes you comfortable.
