Temporary HR Advisor

HR Advisor - Blackburn, Lancashire Temporary Assignment | Initially circa 2 months Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a temporary opportunity within an established organisation in the education sector? Were working with an educational organisation in Blackburn that is looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join their People team on an initial temporary assignment of around two months, with the potential for the role to be extended depending on workload and requirements.

This is a varied generalist HR role, providing practical advice and support to managers and employees across a range of HR and employee relations matters, while also supporting the wider HR team with day-to-day activity and projects.

The Role Providing practical HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees Supporting managers with the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, terms and conditions and employment matters Managing and supporting employee relations casework, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance and appeal processes Working closely with managers to ensure HR processes are followed fairly and consistently Supporting recruitment and selection activity, including safer recruitment requirements Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, case files and HR documentation Supporting HR systems and transactional HR processes Providing general HR support to the wider People team and assisting with projects as required About You Were looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident providing advice and guidance to managers and employees and has a good understanding of employee relations.

Youll be organised, approachable and able to work independently, while also being happy to support the wider HR team in a busy environment. Were looking for someone with:
Previous experience in a generalist HR or HR Advisor role Experience handling employee relations matters, including disciplinary and grievance processes Good knowledge of HR policies, procedures and employment legislation CIPD Level 5 qualification, ideally as a minimum Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisation and attention to detail The ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately A proactive and practical approach, with the ability to pick things up quickly Due to the nature of the role and the educational environment, a DBS check will be required .
