Learning and Development Partner

Are you an experienced L&D or Talent Development professional looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact?

We are working with a growing education and not for profit organisation that is investing heavily in its people, leadership and development agenda. They are looking for an L&D Partner to join their People & Culture team and play a key role in shaping how talent and development are approached across the organisation.

This is a specialist L&D role rather than a generalist HR position. You will need to be confident designing and delivering development solutions, facilitating workshops, coaching managers and influencing leaders, while also being comfortable managing projects, systems and data.

What will you be doing?
You will have a broad remit across learning, talent and organisational development, including:

Designing and delivering leadership and development programmes
Facilitating workshops and development sessions
Supporting leadership capability and behavioural frameworks
Coaching and mentoring managers and colleagues
Developing career pathways and talent development initiatives
Supporting succession planning and talent reviews
Supporting apprenticeships and wider development programmes
Helping to introduce a new approach to performance and development conversations
Playing a key role in moving away from traditional appraisals towards more meaningful growth and development conversations
Supporting organisational and cultural change
Evaluating development programmes and measuring their impact
Supporting learning systems and digital learning platforms
Producing meaningful L&D data and reporting
Working collaboratively with People Partners, People Advisors and wider People & Culture colleagues
You will also have the opportunity to work on leadership development programmes for senior leaders, Directors and programme leaders.

About you
We are looking for someone with strong L&D / Talent Development experience who enjoys both the strategic and practical sides of the role.
You will ideally have experience in:

Learning and development
Designing and delivering development programmes
Leadership development
Facilitation and workshop delivery
Coaching and mentoring
Performance management and organisational development
Talent and succession planning
Learning systems and digital platforms
Using data to evaluate and demonstrate the impact of L&D
Managing projects and competing priorities
You will be confident working with managers and senior stakeholders and able to influence rather than simply coordinate training.

You will naturally build relationships, communicate openly and look for opportunities to bring people together. You will be comfortable challenging constructively and influencing managers and senior leaders.
This is a role for someone who takes ownership, enjoys solving problems and doesn't need everything to be perfectly structured before getting started.

Although there is a generous hybrid working arrangement, this is not a role for someone looking to work predominantly from home. You will spend time across the organisation's campuses, building relationships, understanding the business and working directly with managers and colleagues.
