Onsite Network Engineer

Overview

Capgemini is seeking an Onsite Network Engineer to join our Network Operations Centre (NOC). You will support a range of private and public sector clients, ensuring a stable, secure, and efficient network infrastructure across complex landscapes.

This role requires at least 4 days on‑site work in Barrow‑in‑Furness. Pre‑employment checks will include identity, nationality, employment history, and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

As a Network Operations Analyst, you will perform both RUN and project activities, collaborating with other Network Analysts to troubleshoot, configure, and enhance enterprise networks.

• Troubleshoot and configure enterprise networks.
• Diagnose and resolve network incidents.
• Implement network changes.
• Assist project managers with project tasks.
• Continue professional development through training, certifications, and hands‑on experience.

• Proven track record with enterprise networks and valid networking certifications.
• In‑depth experience of Cisco ACI software‑defined networks (multi‑site & multi‑pod).
• Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Cisco Firepower, Cisco ASA & Any Connect Remote Access).
• Experience with enterprise Wi‑Fi technologies including Cisco WLC or equivalents.
• Troubleshooting routing issues (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP).
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).

SC clearance is mandatory. You must have resided continuously in the UK for the last 5 years and meet other criteria. Some posts are restricted to UK nationals.
