Cybersecurity, Systems Engineer
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Network Manager to take ownership of a large, multi-site network estate within a fast-growing, acquisition-driven organisation. This is a senior technical role where you’ll lead the assessment, stabilisation and modernisation of over 150 sites with varying levels of maturity. You’ll be responsible for cataloguing inherited infrastructure following acquisitions, building structured transition plans, standardising networking environments, reviewing suppliers, and delivering migration strategies with minimal disruption to the business.
You’ll work closely with IT Operations, Cyber Security, Service teams and M&A stakeholders to ensure networks are secure, scalable and aligned to long-term strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical assessments of newly acquired businesses, rapidly evaluating inherited network environments
- Catalogue hardware, connectivity, configurations and security posture across 150+ sites
- Define and maintain a clear network estate inventory and maturity baseline
- Design and deliver migration strategies from legacy networks to a standardised Cisco Meraki-centric architecture
- Standardise SD‑WAN, firewalls, segmentation and secure connectivity across the estate
- Balance risk, cost and business continuity when planning remediation and upgrades
- Oversee Secure Service Edge (SSE) controls including VPN, IDS/IPS, secure web gateway and Zero Trust principles
- Review and rationalise ISPs, telephony providers and third-party networking suppliers
- Own VoIP and voice integration within the network architecture, ensuring resilience and QoS
- Act as technical escalation point for complex or high-impact network incidents
- Proven experience in a senior network or infrastructure role within a large, distributed, multi-site environment
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki at scale (dashboard management, templates, SD‑WAN, Auto VPN)
- Demonstrable experience leading network transformation or remediation programmes
- Experience supporting acquisitions and integrating inherited infrastructure
- Strong understanding of network security principles and secure architecture design
- Experience managing suppliers, ISPs and implementation partners
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
