Two Oracle Developers will join the Applications Support and Development team within IT Services. The roles are an 18‑month Fixed Term Contract, providing primarily Business As Usual support but potentially also crucial systems upgrade work as we transition the Oracle Finance system from 12.1.3 to 12.1.12.
The team is responsible for the development, maintenance & continuous improvement of critical business systems including Oracle eBusiness Suite (R12) Financials. The support and maintenance of the reporting platform, ancillary systems, and interfaces between them are also part of this role.
We are seeking candidates with a detailed technical foundation of the eBusiness suite platform. PLSQL skills will form a key part of the role. A good working knowledge of AP, AR, GL, Projects, iProcurement, Purchasing, Inventory & EAM modules would be helpful. Knowledge and experience of Oracle Workflow Builder, Forms, Reports, reporting skills such as XML Publisher or Excel4
Apps and interface/error handling are desirable. The two successful candidates will join our established team of functional analysts and developers supporting our core applications.
The Developer role involves working with business users and IT colleagues to understand, define and develop fixes and solutions to business issues.
Essential Experience- Oracle eBusiness Suite Financials (12.1.x).
- Experience supporting a core Finance system.
- Excellent Oracle PL/SQL skills.
- Resolution of incidents and change requests/working with customers.
- Understanding or experience of full software implementation cycle.
- Experience working with interfaces.
- Experience of CEMLIs/Oracle Application Extensions/Personalisation’s.
- Working with the following tools:
Oracle Forms and Reports, Workflow Builder, XML Publisher, Excel4
Apps, Git Hub/Tortoise Git or other version control software, TOAD/SQL Developer. - Working with Oracle documentation (OUM/AIM methodology).
- Experience working within a team.
- Ability to analyse and solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills.
