Strand Intelligence is a cutting‑edge cybersecurity startup revolutionising how businesses tackle complex threats such as ransomware, phishing and APT incidents. Our goal is to equip everyone – from security service providers, enterprises, SMEs and MSPs – with the tools they need to thrive in a world of ever‑increasing, ever‑adapting cyber threats.

The role

You’ll be our first dedicated sales hire and the engine of our pipeline. The founders run outbound today, and it’s limiting how fast we can grow. Your job is to take that motion, make it yours, and scale it – working closely with the founders on a narrative and playbook already validated through our early customer cycles.

This is a BDR role with a clear path to Account Executive. Prospect, qualify, and book meetings for the founders to close. Hit your targets and show you can run discovery on your own, and we’ll promote you to AE.

What you will own
  • Outbound prospecting
    – multi‑channel sequences into security vendors and enterprise security teams. Email, Linked In, phone, events.
  • ICP research and targeting
    – we’ll give you the account list; you figure out who to reach and what hook works.
  • Qualification and handover
    – run first conversations and book well‑prepared meetings for the founders.
  • Partner‑sourced leads
    – when a channel partner passes us a warm intro, you’re the front door.
  • CRM rigour
    – accurate pipeline, clean activity, honest forecasting.
  • Market feedback
    – you’ll hear more “no” than anyone else in the business. Bring that signal back into product, pricing, and positioning.
What we’re looking for
  • 2–5 years of BDR or SDR experience in B2B cyber SaaS or an adjacent technical category (DFIR, IR, EDR, XDR, SIEM, SOAR, threat intel, identity). Enterprise security selling equally welcome.
  • Consistent performance against quota
    – you can point to quarters where you over‑attained and explain how.
  • Credible in a cyber conversation
    – you can open a call with a SOC lead, CISO or security analyst comfortably.
  • Self‑directed
    – you don’t need someone to build your sequences or chase you for activity. You bring the playbook, and you’re willing to throw half of it away when it doesn’t work here.
  • Seed‑stage temperament
    – comfortable with ambiguity and building as you go.
  • Clear writer
    – so your emails don’t sound like everyone else’s.
What would make you stand out
  • You’ve prospected into cyber security service providers / vendors previously, or equivalent to enterprise security teams.
  • You’ve been a BDR in a high‑growth seed or Series A cyber startup.
  • You’ve run outbound into large consulting firms successfully.
  • You’re a top‑tier communicator who isn’t scared of laying down their own best practice.
Compensation
  • OTE: £50,000 – £60,000, with uncapped accelerators on over‑attainment.
