The role is responsible for defining, shaping, and delivering the product strategy that underpins BNY’s global custody data delivery capabilities, ensuring scalability, resilience, regulatory alignment, and client value.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Custody business leaders, Operations, Technology, Architecture, and Data teams to translate business needs into scalable, enterprise-grade platform capabilities.
  • Ensure the platform enables high-quality, timely, and controlled custody data delivery across internal consumers, client-facing channels, and downstream reporting and regulatory use cases.
  • Act as a senior product authority, balancing client demand, regulatory requirements, risk considerations, and technical feasibility.
  • Drive alignment across multiple product teams and delivery streams, ensuring dependencies, sequencing, and outcomes are actively managed.
  • Establish and track product success metrics, value realization, and risk indicators, escalating issues and trade-offs transparently to senior stakeholders.
  • Influence and contribute to enterprise data, platform, and custody modernization initiatives, ensuring coherence with broader BNY strategy.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior product managers and product owners, setting high standards for product discipline, ownership, and accountability.
  • Represent Group Data Delivery and the Enterprise Custody Platform in senior governance forums, steering committees, and executive discussions.
Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in product management or platform leadership within large-scale, complex financial services or regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of custody, asset servicing, or post-trade data domains, including operational, risk, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise platforms or data products that serve multiple consumers across regions and business lines.
  • Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders and driving outcomes through matrixed, global organizations.
  • Deep appreciation for data quality, controls, resiliency, and scalability in mission-critical platforms.
  • Experience working closely with technology and engineering teams, with the ability to engage at both strategic and execution levels.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills, with the confidence to operate at SVP and executive level.
