Overview
Position:
Functional Consultant – Dynamics 365 / Power Platform / Copilot Studio.
Location:
Manchester.
Salary: £50,362 – £59,170 per annum.
Hybrid – minimum 2 days in office.
Permanent.
- Design, build and deliver solutions using Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
- Own a portfolio of change and manage delivery from concept to release and support.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective, scalable solutions.
- Act as technical authority for your solutions, resolving issues and guiding best practice.
- Champion system adoption, governance, data quality and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to specify clear requirements aligned to business objectives, with defined benefits.
- Translate requirements into best‑practice solution designs and advocate Power Platform usage.
- Deliver customisations, configurations and implementations using a low‑code/no‑code approach.
- Project‑manage portfolio of changes, own end‑to‑end delivery.
- Act as escalation point for front‑line support team, progress issues to resolution.
- Matrix‑manage resources (BAs, testers, support execs) and mentor team members.
- Coordinate overall pipeline delivery using Azure Dev Ops.
- Support the cost‑effective use of systems and maintain data quality and integrity.
- Assess new release functionality for impacts, risks and opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
- Support application maintenance, ensuring systems remain efficient and streamlined.
- Deputise for Senior Functional Consultants when required.
- Maintain compliance with AQA’s policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of solutions and service.
- Experienced Dynamics 365 Power Platform professional with strong hands‑on experience building solutions.
- Excellent communication skills – able to collaborate, challenge and influence stakeholders of all levels.
- Proven ability to interpret high‑level business needs and turn them into detailed technical specifications.
- Experience managing issues, risks and problems from identification through to resolution.
- Project management skills using standard methodologies (Agile, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio and related Azure environment.
- Strong understanding of data management principles and application to software.
- Agile and resilient – able to make pragmatic decisions and deliver at pace.
- Understanding of ITIL principles (certification desirable).
- Microsoft Professional certification desirable.
- Experience driving change in a complex organisation through cross‑organisational collaboration.
- Step‑up mindset, sound judgement, accountability.
- Team player, able to mentor, motivate and train others.
