Network Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Network Engineer to join a growing technology team based in Manchester.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing management, maintenance and security of the organisation's infrastructure & network environments.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking principles.
• Experience supporting switching, routing, VLANs and VPN technologies.
• Experience administering firewalls and network security solutions.
• Knowledge of DNS, DHCP and network troubleshooting methodologies.
• Experience with backup and recovery technologies.
• Strong understanding of IT security best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, Uni Fi or similar networking technologies.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualisation platforms.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and endpoint security tools.
• Familiarity with Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 or similar security frameworks.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, Security+, Azure Administrator or equivalent.
