Desktop Engineer

Manchester (3-5 days on site per week)

We are actively looking to secure a Desktop Engineer to join Experis.

Job Purpose/

The Role:

The Desktop Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining end-user computing environments. This role ensures that all user devices and workplace technology are operating effectively, providing reliable support to internal users and contributing to a positive user experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical support for end-user devices, resolving issues and service requests in a timely manner
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and associated equipment
Support users with day-to-day technical issues, both remotely and on-site
Manage user access and ensure systems are set up appropriately for business needs
Maintain and update device builds and configurations
Assist in the deployment of new devices and technologies
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Support the setup and maintenance of peripheral devices
Ensure systems are maintained in line with organisational standards and policies
Work with other IT teams to resolve issues and support wider technology initiatives
Maintain accurate records of work completed and issues resolved
Contribute to process improvements and documentation
