Managing Consultant/ Senior Manager - Data & AI Architecture
Capgemini Invent seeks an experienced consultant to lead and execute end-to-end data and AI platform strategies. The role blends strategy, innovation and delivery to help clients build, scale and embed AI capabilities across their organisations.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop and manage scalable, secure, cloud-native data and AI platforms using AWS, GCP, Azure, Snowflake, Redshift or Big Query.
- Implement hybrid cloud architectures and drive migration of legacy systems to modern, cloud-native solutions.
- Build Proofs of Concept and Minimum Viable Products for advanced analytics and AI platforms that deliver measurable business value.
- Automate data pipelines, infrastructure provisioning and deployments through Dev Ops practices (CI/CD, Terraform, Cloud Formation).
- Provide enterprise data strategy, architecture blueprints, roadmaps and stakeholder communication plans.
- Champion user-centric design, storytelling and industry best practices (TOGAF, DAMA) for consistent, compliant solutions.
- Experiment with new AI and automation technologies to accelerate delivery and innovation.
In addition to client delivery, you will contribute to business development, internal thought leadership, and personal learning. You will be part of a rapidly growing team of data, analytics and AI architects and engineers focused on enterprise-grade platform design.
Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in data technologies and architecture with a consulting background.
- 6+ years designing and managing cloud-native data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data solutions (Snowflake, Databricks, Big Query, Synapse).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, ARM, Google Deployment Manager) and Dev Ops practices.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with ability to structure complex challenges and provide actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
- At least three intermediate-level cloud certifications and expertise in AI/ML data architectures.
- Background in data mesh, data fabric, ETL/ELT patterns, and migration of legacy systems to cloud.
- Commercial acumen, project scoping, budgeting and stakeholder management experience.
- Domain experience in UK Public Sector, Banking, Financial Services, Consumer Products, Retail, Telecoms or Transport.
- Knowledge of cloud cost-management tools and optimisation best practices.
- Track record of applying Agile methodologies and leading cross-functional teams on complex data and AI projects.
