About the Digital Risk and Advisory TeamThe Digital Risk and Advisory team is part of our larger Technology and Digital Consulting practice, comprising over 100 technologists. We specialise in AI strategy and governance, data protection, data governance, technology transformation, and IT assurance. We collaborate closely with clients to provide tailored, actionable advice and support the assessment, building and management of data and digital capabilities.
About the RoleAs a senior consultant you will support clients on the development of digital and AI strategies, identification and prioritisation of use cases, and the implementation of end‑to‑end responsible AI governance programmes and corresponding lifecycle controls in line with current and forthcoming regulations and best practices. You will develop, enable and evaluate strategies, use cases and governance programmes across sectors, develop and refine assessment methodologies, stay abreast of AI, digital technology, regulations and ethical trends, design and implement solution artefacts, collaborate across technical, business, policy, legal and risk audiences, contribute to thought leadership, support business development, and continuously improve methods and outcomes.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute assessments to map, measure and evaluate AI governance frameworks.
- Develop and refine methodologies to assess systems against commercial/value criteria.
- Stay abreast of AI and digital technology, regulations and ethical trends and provide guidance and recommendations.
- Design and implement governance artefacts for design, development, deployment, operation and procurement of systems.
- Collaborate seamlessly across technical, business, policy, legal and risk audiences to deliver high‑quality responsible AI capabilities.
- Develop thought leadership on AI and digital topics at internal and external events.
- Support business development and contribute to proposals and pitches.
- Monitor progress, manage risk and keep stakeholders informed.
- Seek information on emerging methodologies and technologies and identify improvement opportunities.
- Build consensus through constructive relationships and effective listening.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science, social science, engineering, artificial intelligence, law or a related field.
- Minimum three years of professional experience in consulting or equivalent industry experience focused on digital advisory, responsible AI or related fields.
- Strong understanding of AI and digital technologies and their ethical implications.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and standards related to digital adoption and AI ethics, privacy and data protection.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and regulatory requirements and adapt quickly to client demands.
- Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage and prioritise workload, and handle multiple tasks.
- High attention to detail and organisational/time management skills.
- Certification, master's degree or PhD related to AI development, responsible AI, AI ethics, or data ethics.
- Experience leading business or IT transformation projects supporting data science, BI, or AI at scale.
- Experience developing AI systems in a design, business or technical capacity, with model risk management.
- Experience with agile and/or scrum delivery methods.
