Unix​/Linux Engineer

Salary

£60,000 - 65,000 per year

• Must be SC eligible
• Experience supporting and maintaining Linux/Unix systems
• Strong system administration and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automation and scheduled jobs
• Experience contributing to infrastructure improvements in hybrid environments

• Support and maintain our Linux/Unix systems to ensure reliability, performance, and security
• Manage day-to-day administration of Linux/Unix servers across production and non-production environments
• Monitor system performance, track health, and identify issues
• Investigate and resolve system faults, outages, and service disruptions
• Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes in line with our standards
• Automate routine tasks to streamline operational processes
• Contribute to server builds, migrations, upgrades, and environment improvements
• Maintain system documentation, procedures, and configuration records
