Senior Network Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. If you are chosen, your responsibilities will include:

• Resolving monitoring issues for our internal infrastructure.
• Ensuring core networking and hosting platform perform at optimal levels.
• Designing, planning, and testing networking platform projects for maintenance, expansion, and upgrades.
• Owning delivery of internal projects to a high standard.
• Escalating client issues to the service desk when they cannot be resolved.
• Mentoring non-senior engineers to develop skills and knowledge.
• Participating in the on‑call rota for the Networks team.

Our perfect candidate should have a wealth of knowledge spanning various technologies and be able to troubleshoot and deliver top‑quality solutions that keep our clients happy. Customer service is paramount, and we look for candidates with excellent customer‑facing skills and strong communication abilities.

• Hold a Service Provider or Enterprise Network (Juniper/Cisco/etc) certification at the “Professional” level;
  Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer or equivalent Next‑Generation Firewall vendor certification (Desirable).
• Working knowledge of the ITIL Framework.
• Extensive experience with multi‑vendor products – Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks experience is desirable.
• Proven experience in planning and implementing networking projects.
• Experience using monitoring systems such as Solar Winds, Nagios, Splunk, etc.; experience with complex Wi‑Fi deployments & Unified Communications.
• Experience working with BGP in an ISP environment.
• Experience working in an MPLS environment.
• Strong understanding of ticket systems and the ability to prioritize and meet SLAs.

• Effective communication.
• Methodical approach to diagnosis and documentation.
• Independent research, organization, and prioritization.
• Full clean UK driving licence.
• Excellent conversational fluency in English to explain complex technical issues.
