Position: Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux)

Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year

Requirements

5-7 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience, ideally within an MSP or multi-customer environment
Strong Linux administration skills across RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux
Proven Ansible experience including playbook development, patching lifecycle management, and compliance reporting
Hands‑on Azure proficiency covering Linux VM management, Azure Update Manager, Azure Backup, Key Vault, and networking
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Bicep and/or ARM templates
Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation
Solid Bash scripting skills for automation and maintenance tasks
Strong understanding of ITIL change management processes, including RFC preparation and CAB attendance
Experience with Service Now for ticket and change management
AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) or equivalent demonstrated Azure experience

Responsibilities

Take ownership of Linux infrastructure and cloud automation across our managed service customer base
Perform end-to-end Linux patching using Ansible
Manage Azure Backup for Linux workloads
Build infrastructure-as-code deployments with Bicep and ARM templates
Maintain CI/CD pipelines through Azure Dev Ops
Act as the escalation point for T1 engineers
Play a key role in P1 major incident response as part of a 1-in-5 weekly on‑call rota
Drive incidents to resolution and maintain accountability for the services we own
Support disciplined change management and documentation practices
