Contract Data Scientist | Manufacturing ML | Signal Processing

6-12 month contract

I’m looking for a Data Scientist to join a major data science project within a global manufacturing environment.

This is a hands‑on modelling role focused on complex manufacturing data, forecasting and machine learning. You’ll be working with transient-level and high-frequency data to build, tune and validate models that solve real production problems.

We need someone who is a genuine critical thinker. Someone who can look at noisy, complex data, challenge assumptions and work out the right modelling approach rather than simply follow a predefined brief.

Key experience:

• Machine learning and forecasting
• Signal processing
• Time‑series, sensor or transient‑level data
• Model development and hyperparameter tuning
• Databricks
• Experience working with manufacturing or industrial data

The key thing is proof. Your CV needs to clearly show where you have worked with similar data and built machine learning models around complex physical or industrial processes.

This is a 6 month project with a major global business.
