Technical Solutions Consultant (Presales)

Location: Manchester (Hybrid – 2/3 days per week in the office)

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 Basic + Benefits

Are you an IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems and working with customers? We’re looking for a Technical Solutions Consultant to join a growing presales team within a leading IT solutions provider. This role is ideal for someone with around a year's customer‑facing technical experience who enjoys understanding business challenges and designing technology solutions.

• Working with customers to understand their technical and business requirements.
• Supporting the sales team throughout the presales process, providing technical expertise and solution guidance.
• Designing high‑level solutions across infrastructure, cloud, networking, security and modern workplace technologies.
• Producing solution designs, technical proposals and supporting documentation.
• Presenting technical recommendations to customers and helping articulate the value of proposed solutions.
• Collaborating with internal delivery and technical teams to ensure solutions are practical and achievable.
• Continuously developing knowledge across new technologies and vendor solutions.

• Around one year’s experience in a customer‑facing technical role (e.g., Technical Solutions Consultant, Presales Consultant, Technical Consultant, Solutions Engineer, Post‑Sales Consultant, Professional Services Consultant).
• A broad understanding of IT infrastructure with exposure to Microsoft technologies, cloud, networking, virtualisation, cybersecurity or backup.
• An interest in solution design and helping customers solve business and technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with customers.
• A genuine desire to learn new technologies and broaden technical expertise.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

• £40,000‑£45,000 basic salary.
