We're looking for a skilled engineer to join a specialist team responsible for maintaining and enhancing secure identity and directory services that support critical, large‑scale operations. Working within a highly secure and collaborative environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring the stability, resilience and continual improvement of enterprise directory infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across complex, multi-domain environments where your expertise in Active Directory, SQL and directory-integrated technologies will directly contribute to the delivery of secure and reliable services.
Due to the secure nature of the work, this role is office-based at one of our secure UK locations.
Key Responsibilities- Support business‑as‑usual directory services, including user account administration, access control and identity lifecycle management.
- Administer and maintain Active Directory Domain Services, including domain controllers, replication, Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
- Design, deploy and manage Group Policy Objects (GPOs) throughout their lifecycle.
- Design, configure and troubleshoot multi-domain Pull Print solutions across a complex enterprise environment.
- Use SQL to support querying, reporting and data‑driven troubleshooting across directory and print services.
- Deliver infrastructure patching, upgrades, lifecycle activities and third‑line technical support in line with service level agreements.
- Contribute to service improvements, ensuring the reliability, security and performance of directory services.
- Strong SQL experience, including querying, reporting and troubleshooting within complex enterprise environments.
- Extensive experience administering Active Directory Domain Services, including domain controllers, replication, DNS and DHCP.
- Proven expertise designing, deploying and troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Experience with identity lifecycle management, access control and directory-integrated systems.
- Hands‑on experience designing and supporting multi-domain Pull Print environments.
- Experience working within operational environments governed by service level agreements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Exposure to Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or hybrid identity environments.
- Awareness of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
