Cloud Platform Engineer (Open Shift / Kubernetes)

Initial contract: 6 months. Manchester or Knowsley (Hybrid – 2 days onsite / 3 remote). £550 per day, Inside IR35.

PCR Digital is supporting a leading UK technology and communications organization as they continue a major infrastructure transformation programme.

We're looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team building a brand-new internal hosting platform based on Red Hat Open Shift. This is an opportunity to play a key role in modernising enterprise infrastructure rather than simply maintaining existing environments. You'll work alongside architects, platform engineers and delivery teams to help design, build and scale a next‑generation private cloud platform supporting critical business services.

• Build and deploy a new enterprise hosting platform based on Red Hat Open Shift.
• Support a large-scale infrastructure transformation programme.
• Work closely with architects, platform engineers and delivery teams.
• Help improve platform scalability, resilience and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and platform engineering best practices.
