The role is central to AQA’s AI for Assessment programme, responsible for uncovering, preparing and sharing data that powers AI projects.

• Retrieve, reshape, manage, and share exam data and metadata for AI training.
• Perform data quality checks and improve automated processes such as image‑to‑text conversion.
• Coordinate secure data hand‑overs with third‑party partners.
• Maintain documentation and audit records for all data activities.
• Liaise with the data compliance team to ensure GDPR‑compliant handling of data.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders on data requests relating to AI use.

• Strong organisational and analytical skills; detail‑focused and able to plan for downstream issues.
• Experience working with large datasets in Windows or through custom code (Python preferred).
• Good understanding of assessment data and ability to work with contractors.
• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL is desirable; training will be provided.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues rapidly with minimal guidance.
