Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year
Requirements- Previous experience in a Data Governance Analyst, Data Steward, Data Governance Consultant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, business glossaries, data catalogues and governance controls.
- Experience working with Data Owners, Data Stewards and business stakeholders to improve data governance practices.
- Knowledge of data quality principles, including accuracy, completeness, consistency and timeliness.
- Experience documenting business definitions, data standards and governance artefacts.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
- Experience using data governance platforms or metadata management tools.
- SQL knowledge would be beneficial.
- Experience with Azure Dev Ops or similar workflow tools would be advantageous.
- Experience with in insurance, financial services or another regulated environment would be highly desirable.
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of our data governance framework, policies and standards.
- Maintain and administer our data governance tooling, ensuring metadata, business glossary content, ownership, classifications and lineage remain accurate and up to date.
- Work with Data Owners and Data Stewards to define business terms, critical data elements, data standards and governance controls.
- Capture and document business definitions, metadata, data dictionaries and governance artefacts across multiple business domains.
- Monitor data governance compliance, supporting audits, risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Track data quality issues, governance actions and remediation plans, reporting progress through governance forums.
- Produce governance reporting, dashboards and management information for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business, technology, risk and compliance teams to improve data quality, consistency and ownership across our organisation.
- Support training, communications and stakeholder engagement activities to promote a strong data-led culture.
