Cloud Engineer  AWS | National Security
Locations:  Manchester or London
Working Pattern:  Hybrid  minimum 3 days per week in office
Salary:  £50,000 - £80,000
Security Clearance:  Must be eligible for UK DV clearance

Were working with a leading technology and engineering organisation that is growing its team across Leeds, Manchester and London, working on complex and highly impactful projects supporting National Security customers.
This is an opportunity to work on challenging AWS environments where you'll have genuine ownership across the design, development, deployment and maintenance of cloud applications and services.

The Role
You'll join an experienced, autonomous Dev Ops / Software Engineering team, working closely with technical teams and end users to design and deliver secure, scalable AWS solutions.
You'll be involved across the full engineering lifecycle, with the opportunity to work across different projects, technologies and customer environments.
You'll be encouraged to bring new ideas, solve complex technical problems and continuously develop your cloud engineering expertise.
What we're looking for
We're interested in experienced AWS / Cloud Engineers / Dev Ops Engineers with strong hands-on experience across areas such as:
AWS  EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, KMS, ELB, SNS, SQS, IAM
Infrastructure as Code  Terraform, Cloud Formation or CDK
Python, Bash, Shell or similar scripting languages
Git / version control
CI/CD  Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab, Bamboo, Bitbucket etc.
Docker / Kubernetes
Cloud networking, Linux, routing and security
Monitoring, observability and operational tooling
Agile delivery environments
Microservices and API development
National Security & Clearance
This is a National Security-focused role.
You'll be working on projects supporting customers across the UK National Security and Public Sector environment.
Candidates must be eligible to obtain UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance and be willing to undergo the required security vetting process.
Existing security clearance is advantageous, but DV eligibility is essential.
