We're looking for a hands-on Information Security Analyst to support the continued development of our client's growing Information Security function.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative security team where you'll play a key role in protecting the organisation while helping to mature and improve their security operations. If you're passionate about information security, enjoy solving problems, and are motivated by continuous improvement, this could be the opportunity for you.

The Role

As an Information Security Analyst, you'll contribute to the day-to-day delivery of security operations while helping improve and scale security capabilities across the business.

Working closely with internal stakeholders and external security partners, you'll support security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and security assurance activities. You'll also help identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation, better tooling, and well-defined processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, triage, investigate, and coordinate responses to security alerts.
  • Manage the vulnerability management lifecycle using Nessus, ensuring vulnerabilities are tracked through to remediation.
  • Work with external security monitoring providers to investigate and respond to security events.
  • Support incident response activities, coordinating actions and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Assist with customer security questionnaires, audit activities, and broader security assurance initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve security documentation, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and maturity of the Information Security function.
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organisation.
About You

You'll have experience working in Information Security, ideally within Security Operations, Incident Response, or Vulnerability Management. You're comfortable investigating security alerts, understanding risk, and seeing issues through to resolution.

You're organised, proactive, and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. You enjoy improving the way things are done and have a practical approach to security, balancing risk with business needs.

You're equally comfortable working with technical detail and communicating effectively with colleagues across different teams. An interest in automation and process improvement is essential, with a focus on reducing manual effort through repeatable workflows and improved tooling.

  • Proven hands-on experience in Security Operations and/or Incident Response.
  • Experience triaging, investigating, and responding to security alerts.
  • Demonstrable vulnerability management experience, including the use of Nessus.
  • Experience working with a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or managed security monitoring service.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Security monitoring and alerting
  • Vulnerability management lifecycle
  • Ability to analyse security events and make sound, risk-based decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills with a track record of seeing work through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance, or security assurance activities.
  • Exposure to SIEM, EDR, or other security monitoring and detection platforms.
  • Experience responding to customer security questionnaires or supporting bids and tenders.
  • Understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts,…
