New Business Account Executive – Commercial Insurance

40k Basic plus commission

We’re recruiting on behalf of a growing independent insurance broking group for a New Business Account Executive to join their commercial team based in Manchester

This role is ideal for an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys winning new business, building long-term client relationships, and working in a fast-paced sales environment. The focus will be on Commercial General Insurance, including property and liability risks, with exposure to hospitality, entertainment, and licensed trade clients.

Key responsibilities include:

* Handling inbound new business enquiries and gathering underwriting information

* Obtaining and presenting quotations from insurers

* Managing new business tenders and chasing instructions

* Making outbound calls and developing new client relationships

* Analysing client needs and providing tailored insurance solutions

* Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance at all times

The successful candidate will have:

* A background in commercial insurance (essential)

* Proven experience generating new business, through cold calling, networking etc arranging meetings etc

* Strong communication and relationship-building skills

* A confident telephone and face-to-face manner

* Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
